Dealing with consumer objections is a major part of any sales position. Not every customer will be easily convinced that your product is right for them, and they may raise numerous objections to the sale.
Part of your job is to take these concerns seriously and thoroughly understand each one, so you can go through the steps needed to overcome them and convince the customer that your product genuinely suits their needs.
This course goes into detail on how to handle sales objections throughout your career. It begins with the preliminary skills you need to master before handling any customer concerns, then reviews the most common types of objections you can expect to encounter, along with quick tips on overcoming them, plus more general techniques that apply to other types of objections. Finally, it covers how to handle complaints, which are essentially objections raised once a sale has been completed.
You will learn:
- Why you need to develop credibility early on in the sales process
- How to overcome misunderstandings and scepticism about a product
- The importance of asking questions when dealing with customer objections
- Why you need to tackle the biggest objection first
- The role of listening in handling complaints
- The best strategies for dealing with objections or complaints from existing customers
The course is made up of 4 modules (around 3 hours of learning): Introduction, How to Turn Things Around, How to Overcome Most Barriers to a Sale, and The Pitfalls that You Need to Avoid.
This course is part of our Business training courses, alongside our full CPD-accredited courses. See our related Advertising & Marketing courses.
