SIA Training Courses

Skills Pad runs SIA licence-linked training in Luton for people entering the private security industry and for licence holders who need to renew. Every course is taught in person at our centre at 33 Park Street West, Luton, LU1 3BE, a few minutes’ walk from Luton town centre and Luton railway station, and every course leads to a Highfield Level 2 qualification.

Which SIA course do you need?

SIA Door Supervisor Course — six days, £350. The starting point if you have never held an SIA licence. It covers conflict management and physical intervention, and you will need a valid Emergency First Aid at Work certificate before you can attend.

SIA Door Supervisor Refresher — two or three days, £215. For people who already hold, or recently held, a front line door supervisor licence and need to renew it. This is the same thing as top-up training.

SIA CCTV Operator Course — three days, £300. Control room work rather than door work. There is no physical intervention module and no first aid requirement.

Course fees include your exams, the practical assessment, learning materials and your certificate. If you want us to handle your SIA licence application, that is an optional £250 including our admin fee, and Emergency First Aid at Work can be added for £95 when you book.

Skills Pad is a training provider. We are not the Security Industry Authority. Passing one of these qualifications is a requirement for the matching SIA licence, but the SIA decides every application itself after its own identity and criminal record checks.
