Understanding Dysphagia and Choking Certification

This course is designed for professional care workers and focuses on the common problem of swallowing difficulties and choking incidents in the care environment.

Dysphagia is a life-threatening condition that can cause severe physical and emotional problems.

In this course, you will learn about the challenges of treating and caring for people with dysphagia, including how to implement a proper dysphagia treatment programme and create a personalised care plan using the IDDSI protocols and other tools.

The course also covers the medical emergency of choking and how to treat it, preparing you to be an effective caregiver.
