This comprehensive online course aims to raise awareness of the different aspects of Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
MND is a rapidly progressing disease that damages parts of the nervous system, leading to significant loss of mobility and speech, and respiratory distress. Although MND is incurable, it is treatable, and with proper care and treatment, symptoms can be managed so the person can expect to live longer and enjoy a better quality of life. This course provides insights into what motor neurone disease is, its causes, symptoms and different types, and how to provide comprehensive care and support to someone who has been diagnosed with this condition, across 5 modules and around 3.75 hours of learning.
