Anaphylaxis can be frightening to experience as the allergy symptoms rapidly progress within minutes or hours and sometimes prove fatal. Every year, there are 20 to 30 deaths in the UK caused by severe allergic reactions.

This course covers all the important aspects of anaphylaxis, including the different causes, signs and symptoms, and treatments.

Anaphylaxis may be caused by food, drugs, venom, exercise, or latex, and sometimes it has no cause at all. This course helps improve awareness about anaphylaxis and is particularly useful for health and social care workers, first-aiders and family members.

Providing the right assistance during a severe allergic reaction may help save someone’s life.
