This course provides everything you need to begin or further your journey in childcare. It covers the duties, responsibilities and various environments associated with childcare, giving you both an objective and in-depth view of the different roles available. It explains the legislative and regulatory requirements of the job in full, focusing on the importance of equality and diversity in childcare, along with a step-by-step guide to registering as a childcarer in the UK.

The child-centred and coordinated approaches to childcare are explained in full, alongside the fundamentals of child safeguarding and how to apply them in your career. The course also covers the importance of maintaining professional boundaries, working legally with children alone, and how to deal with allegations against yourself or others — plus the legal requirements around transporting children, handling their data and regulating their media intake.

Finally, the course examines child behaviour, analysing common disorders, how to recognise them, and providing a complete guide to behavioural management techniques for children.
