You will learn:
- The different schools of yoga and its fundamental principles, including breath, alignment, movement, positivity and wellbeing
- How the practice of yoga can benefit various spheres of life, help you relax and achieve higher levels of physical and overall wellbeing, and how to define your own goals
- How to prepare for Hatha yoga by developing the right attitude and motivation, while understanding your limitations
- How to release tension in the muscles, focusing on the hamstrings, lower back and knees as a beginner
- How to perform a wide range of asanas (poses), along with their benefits and contraindications
The course runs across 10 modules (around 4.5 hours of learning), from an introduction to the course through What Yoga Is, Yoga and You, Preparation, Yoga Postures, Yoga Twists, Yoga Know-How, Using Props, Yoga and Meditation, and Tips for Success.
