Safeguarding is essential for all educators, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the students in their care. Students of all ages, in every type of educational facility, have the right to safety, and teachers play an integral role in ensuring it.
This Safeguarding for Teachers course begins with the goals of safeguarding and what teachers need to know to keep students safe, before focusing on how to spot early warning signs and identify high-risk student groups. It also looks in depth at the different types of abuse and neglect, how teachers can recognise them, and how to provide assistance using the resources and infrastructure available, finishing with the frameworks required for effective action.
